MINING REGULATIONS, 1970 (LI 665). IN exercise of the powers conferred on the Minster responsible for Land and Mineral Resources, by section 11 of the Mining Rights Regulation Ordinance (Cap. 153), and acting on the advice of the Lands Commission, these Regulations are made this 8th day of September, 1970. [Date of making of Instrument inserted by LI 689 reg.(a).]

Section 1

1. Owner to make financial provision

It shall be the duty of the owner of every mine or works subject to these Regulations to make such financial and other provision and take such other steps as may be necessary to secure, that the mine or works is managed and worked in accordance with the requirements of these Regulations.

Section 2

2. Appointment of manager.

The manager of such a mine or works shall be appointed by the owner thereof, who, if an individual and suitably qualified, may appoint himself.
