MINING (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1971 (LI 689). IN exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister responsible for Lands and Mineral Resources by section 11 of the Mining Rights Regulation Ordinance (Cap. 153), and acting on the advice of the Lands Commission, this Instrument is made this 7th day of May, 1971. The Mining Regulations, 1970 (L.I. 665) are hereby amended as follows:— (a) in the introductory words, by the insertion of 8th September, 1970 as the date on which the Instrument was made; (b) in regulations 224 (3) and 298, by the substitution for the word "Commissioner" appearing therein of the word "Minister"; (c) in regulation 299 (1), by the substitution for the words "the Oil Mining Regulations, 1969 apply" of the words "any other law for regulating oil mining applies".
