MERCHANT SHIPPING (RADIO DIRECTION-FINDERS) RULES, 1974 (L.I 950).

These Rules shall apply to: (a) Sea-going Ghanaian ships of sixteen hundred tons gross or upwards; (b) Sea-going ships, other than Ghanaian ships of sixteen hundred tons gross or upwards while they are within any port in Ghana; Provided that these Rules shall not apply to: (i) pleasure yachts, (ii) fishing vessels, (iii) any other ship not engaged on an international voyage.

Every ship to which these Rules apply shall be provided with a radio direction-finder complying with the requirements specified in the First Schedule.
