The administrative area formerly known as the Greater Accra Region shall, on and after the coming into force of this Act and for all purposes be one of the Regions of Ghana.

Section 2

2. Area of Region

The Greater Accra Region shall comprise the areas of authority of the councils specified in the first column of the First Schedule as established by the instruments specified in relation to each council in the second column of that Schedule and more particularly described in the Second Schedule and delineated in the Third Schedule.
