GHANA NATIONALITY REGULATIONS, 1972 (L.I. 747).

All applications under the Ghana Nationality Act, 1971 (Act 361) shall be made to the Commissioner in the appropriate form set out in the Schedule (which shall be submitted in duplicate), and shall be accompanied by the following fees, which shall not be refundable:— FORM 1 (application for registration as a citizen of Ghana under section 2 (1) of the Act) .. .. .. ¢50.00 FORM 2 and 3 (application for registration as a citizen of Ghana under section 2 (2), (3), (4) or (5) of the Act) ........... 25.00 FORM 4 (application for registration of a minor child as a citizen of Ghana under section 3 (1) or (2) of the Act)............. 20.00 FORM 5 (application for naturaliation of citizen of Ghana under section 6 of the Act) .. .. ..50.00 FORM 6 (application for a certificate of citizenship in case of doubt under section 12 of the Act .. ..10.00

(1) Every application for registration or naturalisation under section 2 (1), 2 (2), or 6 of the Act shall be sponsored by four citizens of Ghana who from their personal knowledge are well acquainted with the applicant and can recommend him as a fit and proper person to become a citizen of Ghana. (2) One such sponsor shall be a Judge, magistrate, minister of religion, public officer earning a basic salary of not less than ¢2,000 per annum, legal practitioner, accountant, doctor or dentist. (3) Every application for registration or naturalisation shall be signed or marked by the applicant (or, in the case of an application under section 3 (1) of the Act, by his parent or guardian) in the presence of a Circuit Judge, District Magistrate, Commissioner for Oaths, or the head of any Ghana Mission or Consulate abroad, who shall attest the signature or mark.
