Section 1

This Act may be cited as the Hares Preservation Act, 1892.

Section 2

2. Close time. U.K.

It shall not be lawful during the months of March, April, May, June, or July to sell or expose for sale in any part of Great Britain any hare or leveret, and any person who during the months aforesaid shall so sell or expose for sale any hare or leveret shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding [ F2 level 1 on the standard scale ] , including costs of conviction.
