I have considered the cross-petition and the Cross-Petitioner’s evidence on record. I have taken judicial notice of the Petitioner and the fact that the parties have field terms of settlement in respect of the ancillary reliefs.

Flowing from the above, I am convinced that the marriage between the parties has broken down beyond reconciliation and same is hereby dissolved.

The terms of settlement filed by the parties on the 19th day of March, 2020 is hereby adopted by the court as part of the judgment of the court and the parties are bound by it. The terms are as follows:

i. That the Respondent shall give the total sum of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢10,000.00) to the Petitioner as full and final payment of alimony and also in accordance with customary and traditional practices.

ii. That the Respondent shall continue to provide for the education and maintenance of the issue of the marriage and her upkeep.

iii. That the Petitioner shall have custody of the issue of the marriage and the Respondent shall have access to the child during vacations and weekends

The marriage certificate is hereby cancelled.

Each party is to bear his own cost.
