The Ghana High Court, per Her Ladyship Justice Cynthia Wiredu, dissolved a marriage after reviewing a petition, answer, and cross-petition and determining that the relationship had broken down beyond reconciliation. The court cancelled the marriage certificate bearing licence No. KDC 37/12. It adopted, as consent judgment, the parties’ Terms of Settlement filed on 23 November 2022, which extensively regulate shared custody and access, equal vacation splits, alternation of birthdays and parental days, and joint parental decision-making with an emergency exception. The settlement mandates the Respondent to pay educational and medical expenses until age eighteen, provide a two-bedroom apartment, and maintain each child at GH¢2,000 monthly subject to inflation. It also orders a GH¢200,000 lump-sum alimony paid in stages, transfer of 50% shares in Property Brothers Ltd., assignment of supermarket rental interest at Finest Oil Filling Station, delivery of a Toyota RAV4 (GG 1574-17), and introduction regarding 100 acres at Afram Plains. Each party bears their own costs.
