Her Ladyship Justice Cynthia Wiredu of the High Court adjudicated a matrimonial cause arising from a marriage celebrated on 23 August 2012 at the Tema Metropolitan Assembly Chamber, Tema, under Licence No. TMA/RM/1463/2012. After considering the petition, answer, and cross-petition, and evaluating the record, the court found that the marriage had broken down beyond reconciliation and ordered its dissolution. The court cancelled the marriage certificate and adopted the parties’ terms of settlement filed on 18 November 2022 as part of the final judgment. Under these terms, custody of the four minor daughters—Queeny Fatima Salia (9), Dalia Habiba Salia (7), Faharna Khadjia Salia (6), and Jaliya Salia (3 years 11 months)—is granted to the Petitioner, with the Respondent to have reasonable access during school vacations and long public holidays. Each party is to bear their own costs, and the court made no order as to costs.
