AI Generated Summary
Presiding over the High Court, Her Ladyship Justice Cynthia Wiredu (Mrs.) considered a petition, answer, and cross petition seeking to dissolve a marriage. After evaluating the record, the court found the marriage had broken down beyond reconciliation and dissolved it, canceling marriage certificate license A4/3/2009. The court adopted terms of settlement filed on 21 October 2022. Custody of the only child, Kirsten Banyen, was granted to the Respondent, with the Petitioner to have access every other weekend during school terms and half of holidays. The Respondent must pay the child’s school fees and medical bills; the Petitioner must contribute GHC200 monthly for maintenance. The Respondent must pay GHC20,000 to the Petitioner over 12 months. Property acquired during marriage will be distributed, with the Respondent’s house under construction settled on the Respondent and all other property shared equally. The parties agreed the terms constitute satisfaction and accord, and each party will bear their own costs.
