AI Generated Summary
Her Ladyship Justice Cynthia Wiredu (Mrs.), sitting in the High Court, resolved a matrimonial cause arising from a customary marriage. After considering the petition, the answer, and a cross‑petition, and assessing the evidence, the court found the marriage had broken down beyond reconciliation and ordered its dissolution. The court canceled the marriage certificate and adopted the parties’ terms of settlement filed on 6 December 2022 as part of the final judgment, binding both parties. The orders award custody of the child to the Respondent while preserving reasonable access for the Petitioner; require the Petitioner to pay GH¢800 monthly maintenance, subject to annual review, and to cover school fees; assign the Respondent responsibility for clothing and related items; award the Respondent GH¢30,000 alimony; and direct that each party bear their own costs.
